Ticks & Mosquito Control in Western Massachusetts

Ticks and mosquitoes aren’t just annoying — they’re a serious health concern in Western Mass. Our area has one of the highest rates of Lyme disease in the country, spread by blacklegged deer ticks. Mosquitoes here can also transmit West Nile Virus and EEE (Eastern Equine Encephalitis) during peak season. Protecting your yard isn’t just about comfort — it’s about safeguarding your family and pets from these dangerous pests.

FAQ

We've Got The Answers

Why do you spray so often?
Ticks and mosquitoes breed quickly and are highly mobile. Regular treatments—every 3 to 4 weeks—keep the population under control and maintain your property’s protection.
Does spraying provide protection right away?
Yes. You’ll start seeing a reduction almost immediately, with peak effectiveness within 24–48 hours after treatment.
Will spraying kill all the mosquitoes and ticks on my property?
No treatment can promise 100% elimination, but we drastically reduce the population and target breeding zones to help keep them from coming back.
Is spraying safe for pets and kids?
Yes. We ask that people and pets stay off treated areas until the product dries—typically about 30 minutes to an hour. After that, it’s safe to return.
How long do I have to wait before going outside after treatments?
Give it about 30–60 minutes to dry. After that, you’re good to go.
Will spraying affect my garden?
We avoid spraying directly on edible plants and gardens. If you have specific areas you want us to avoid, just let us know—we’re happy to adjust.
How does spraying affect other animals?
Our treatments target insects, not larger wildlife. Pollinators like bees can be affected if they’re present during treatment, so we avoid flowering areas and time our visits accordingly.
Will any of your products affect my well water?
No. We follow strict guidelines around application near wells and water sources. If you have a well, we’ll take extra precautions and walk you through the plan
Should I mow my lawn before spraying?
Yes —cutting the grass first helps the product reach the areas ticks and mosquitoes like to hide. Mow the day before if possible but if it’s not don’t worry the product will still work.
Should I close my windows when you spray?
Yes, we recommend closing windows and keeping pets indoors until the treatment has dried
Do I still need to protect my cat or dog against fleas and ticks?
Yes. Our treatment helps reduce outdoor exposure, but it’s not a replacement for vet-approved flea and tick preventatives.
My treatment didn’t work—now what?
Let us know. We stand behind our work. If you’re still seeing activity, we’ll come back out and make it right.
